The stations of the new “Colbricon Express” cable car address the delicate relationship between large tourist infrastructures and the alpine landscape. The project pays particular attention to the design of the large station roofs, explicitly emphasizing the relationship between form and function.
The architecture of the stations is composed of distinct functional elements, clearly articulated both in form and materials. The aim is not to diminish the scale of the structures but to transform these large functional objects into a harmonious and coherent ensemble of forms capable of engaging in dialogue with the delicate surrounding landscape.
